August just seemed to fly by! Going into September we are getting ready for the Fall Season. We had such a great time during our Family Fun Night this last month! We would like to thank everyone that showed up and made it an amazing night. The residents had such a great time seeing their loved ones come and take part in activities and enjoy some delicious snacks.
Thank you everyone that has donated money to the "Walk to End Alzheimer's". For every $5.00 donated a "flower" is put up and displayed on our Winslow Warrior Walls! Check out the photos below to see how many flowers we have put up all ready on our Warrior Walls! All proceeds go to the Cedar Rapids Alzheimer’s Association.
If you would like to walk with us on September 29th please let me know so I may get you registered to be a part of our team #winslowwarriors. We would love to have some residents and their families come out and walk with us. If you are not able to do attend either events but would like to donate some money toward our Winslow Warriors team, please let me know as well. In order for each registered “walker” to receive a “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” T-Shirt, which they will wear at the event, we must raise at least $100 per registered person. Our staff are already working hard at getting some donations from their families and friends to support them and their dedications towards the fight to end Alzheimer’s. There will be a table set up during our Children's Reading Program Saturday September 15th at 2:30pm, if you wish to stop by and donate, support the cause and write your name on a flower for our walls!
