Activity Past, Present & Future

Happy Spring everyone! We have a lot of

fun and exciting things planned for May.

First off, we have Mother’s Day on May

13^th. We are inviting everyone to come out

and enjoy some muffins with your mom Sunday the 13^th at 10am. Muffins and beverages are provided and we are hoping the weather is nice enough that we can do this event outside on our front patio.

We are also excited about National Nursing Home Week! This runs from the 13^th thru the 19^th. We have fun programs planned for the staff and residents all week long. Monday we will be doing “Family Feud” and the survey questions will be answered by the resident while the staff has to guess the most popular answers. Tuesday, we are planning a “Guess Who” game. I am in need of your help with this one. I am looking for pictures of your loved one when they were a baby or toddler. Pictures will be returned. If possible please have them to by Friday May 11^th. Wednesday, we get to tye die t-shirts for all residents and staff. Thursday, we are having a big party during the day and evening bingo after dinner around 7:30pm. We invite family to stop on by and play some bingo, as it is one of our most popular programs we have here at Winslow House. Then, on Friday we will be having a BBQ cookout at lunch time, followed by an obstacle course with 1^st shift staff VS 2^nd shift staff. Residents are assisting with the design of the course and they get to cheer on their favorite staff members. To end the week, we will be having our Children’s Reading Program on Saturday the 19^th. It was such a huge success last time with the pet visits during the reading program, that we are going to do it again this month.

Last but not least, we are so honored to solute our soldiers and their loved ones with a ceremony for Memorial Day on the 25^th at 10am. Speaking of Memorial Day, May 28^th, we are blessed to have Live Entertainment at 10am that day! Hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend!
