Activities in Action
Hello from the Activity Department!
With Spring weather finally here, we are beginning to spend time enjoying the fresh air, sights, and sounds spring brings us. We are continuing to practice social distancing and will continue to have activities on a one to one and/or self-directed basis. This past month we planted marigold flowers and have been enjoying watching them start to grow! We have a lot to celebrate during the month of May! It is Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, National Nurses week, and National Skilled Nursing Care Center week. For this, we will be “Sharing Our Wisdom” by creating a display wall for residents, staff, family, and friends can share their piece of advice as a mother or any lesson they have learned from living for all to enjoy. We will also have a bean bag toss game, “getting to know staff” BINGO, and root beer floats for Nursing Care Center week. Throughout the rest of the month, we will have a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, muffins for Mother’s Day breakfast, trivia and a painting craft for Memorial Day. Family, friends, and residents- let’s continue to stay connected! I have time slots available on May 20th 6:30-8:30 PM and May 30th 9-11 AM to video chat with your loved one.
