Activities in Action
Happy New Year! During the month of January, we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Maintenance Workers Month, and National Activity Professionals week January 23rd – 29th. Activities are an important part in our residents’ daily life. The past year has continued to prove challenging in various ways for everyone, but we continue to provide a variety of creative and fun activity programs each month for the residents. Some of the activities you will see on the monthly calendars include music entertainment, games, crafts, exercise, reminiscing, church services, happy hour, bingo, and more! Activities benefit our residents psychologically, socially, spiritually, intellectually, and physically. By encouraging participation in activities, we help improve mental well-being, reduce isolation, and enhance quality of life.
We will be doing some minute to win it games involving staff and residents paring up into teams! We will play three different games called cookie face, cotton ball race, and cup pyramid on January 20th. You can view the activity calendar any time to see all the monthly programs under the Activities & News tab on our website www.winslowhousecarecenter.com by clicking on “click here to view our activity calendar”.
