From the Administrators Desk
Hello Winslow family,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dallas Urbain. I will be the administrator at Winslow. I am eager to join your team at Winslow. I want to build relationships with you and our families that we serve. That being said, I would like to give you some background on myself as a professional and then as a person.
I have been working with Healthcare of Iowa for the past ten years. I started my career caring for the elderly at the age of sixteen working as a CNA. Becoming a CNA and caring for the elderly confirmed that geriatric patients have a special place in my heart. After attending Kirkwood Community College, I earned my LPN. My first job with Healthcare of Iowa was being a charge nurse. As a charge nurse I learned valuable skills to be a strong leader and develop a strong team. Throughout the past years I gained experience working as a worker’s compensation nurse manager and primary nurse at a local clinic. Most recently, I have been working as the Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. I then went back to school at Purdue University for health care administration. Working hard and having a positive attitude has allowed me to reach many of my goals as a professional. Working as an administrator at Winslow, I look forward to building relationships with the residents, families, and most of all staff.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and being outside. My husband Ben and I have been married for ten years and have four wonderful children. Together as a family, we enjoy riding horses, being with friends, and making memories.
I am honored to be part of Winslow and look forward to helping build a team of professionals and family.
