Welcome April!

With Spring finally upon us we will be going outside more often and getting fresh air! Unfortunately, this year Winslow House will not be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt to ensuring we protect the health and well-being of everyone. All activities will continue to be held on a one to one and/or self-directed basis. Despite the temporary changes we are all working with in order to keep our senior population safe and healthy, we have many things to celebrate during the month of April! It is National Occupational Therapy month, Laundry/Linen week, Volunteer week, Administrative Professionals Day, Hairstylist Appreciation Day, along with many holidays. We will be sharing funny poems, stories, riddles, and trivia. We will be making an Easter egg craft, a kite decoration, and May Day baskets. On Easter Sunday, there will be a livestream of a church service for anyone who would like to join. April showers bring May flowers, so we will be planting small individual flowerpots and watching them grow this Spring!

Families and residents- let’s stay connected! Give me a call at (319) 377-8296 to set up a time for a window visit, video chat, or to write letters April 8th and 29th evenings, and the morning of the 25th.
